ENF/EXE This end dipole has been met to meet the stringent requirements of the petro-chemical industry, where safety is a critical factor. The radiating elements are housed in a reinforced glass fibre tube, which is completely sealed using silicone 'O' rings, and a Hawke gland to provide a gas tight seal for use in a possibly combustible atmosphere. Connection to the equipment is via armoured RG213 cable, minimalising the risk of accidental severence. Finally the antennais fully encased in a black heat shrink, protecting it from the harmful effects of UV rays. This has the added advantage of making this antenna impervious to the corrosive effects of acidic, alkalie, or saline envirionments. |
