The CD/3 centre fed dipole is an ideal antenna for communal radio sites as although it gives a gain of 2.8 db from its single dipole it does reduce windloading. The antenna has been made to a high degree of telecommunication specification and can withstand a maximum power input rating of 200 watts. If you have a need to save space on your mast then you should seriously consider the CD/3 LNG. Based on the same principal as the above its longer stand off boom allows space saving but with maximum gain requirements. The CDB however has been designed to withstand a much higher input power rating to a maximum of 500 watts. This has been achieved with the new balun which is encapsulated in a watertight reinforced ABS box and then potted in epoxy resin.
