Earth Rods - Stainless These rods are designed for use where problems may be caused by galvanic corrosion, due to dissimilar metals being buried in close proximity. In this situation a copper rod may react adversely with the buried metal, thus allowing corrosion to take place. The solution is to use stainless steel rods which are more anodic than copper. The rods are manufactured from austentic stainless steel to BS970, grade 316S12.
Driving Head Manufactured from steel to BS970, grade 070M20 Internal Coupling Dowel Manufactured from austentic stainless steel to BS970, grade 316S12. Spike Manufactured from steel to BS970, Grade 070M20 Shielded Earthing The patented shielded rods consist of a steel core with a shrunk on copper cladding, a PVC coating and a second copper outer jacket. These rods are intended for installation directly below ground level as the top section of a multiple section earthing rod set. The lower sections being of a standard rod type. Specific applications being of a standard rod type. Specific applications for shielded earthing rods.
Mechanically sleeved rods are also available manufactured to comply with ISO-900. These rods are provided with a thick layer of copper to 500 micron. Taper Lock Couplings These conical coupling permit unthreaded rods to form an extended system while providing an excellent mechanical and electrical connection. Cross Head Drilling Tips For ease of driving non-chamfered earthing rods a patented 'cross-head' allows rods to be driven to greater depths while the rod orientation in the ground remains constant.
